Better access at Bromley South Station says Bob Neill - (05/11/09)

Bromley & Chislehurst MP, Bob Neill, has called for lifts to be installed at Bromley South at soon as possible to ensure better access for the disabled, elderly and parents with young children.

The heavily used station is the busiest on the Southeastern Trains network outside the major London Termini but the only access to the platform is via stairs, which leads to great difficulty for a number of people

Bob has written to The Department for Transport and Network Rail calling for better access as a matter of urgency and has now launched a petition which can be signed by either writing to Bob at the House of Commons or by going to his website.

Bob says:  "I get letters about this issue from local people on a regular basis. Many people want to use the station but can't because of the access problem and it is about time a lift was installed.''

To sign the petition please write to Bob at The House of Commons, London, SW1A 0AA or go to http://www.bobneillmp.co.uk/
