The Boundary Review

As you may have seen on the news, the Boundary Commission has recently released its proposals for the 2018 Boundary Review. A number of residents have contacted me asking what this means for Bromley and Chislehurst and how it will effect the constituency.

Breakthrough achieved at Waste 4 Fuel site

As you may have seen on the local news in recent days, an agreement has been reached to clear the terrible rubbish mound at the Waste 4 Fuel site on Cornwall Drive, something that has blighted the community for a number of years.

WASPI campaign: next steps

Since my last update on 13 May, the WASPI (Women Against State Pension Inequality) APPG has continued its active lobbying of government to push for fair transitional arrangements for women affected by changes included in the 2011 Pensions Act.

The leadership of the Conservative Party

With Michael Gove, who I supported, having now been eliminated from the leadership contest, I will be giving my full support to Theresa May. Michael had a lot to offer, and I am sure that he will continue to play a big role in the service of the Conservative Party and our country.

Lidl to sell Porcupine site

Following the Planning Inspectorate’s decision in December 2014 to turn down Lidl’s planning appeal – through which they wished to demolish the historic Porcupine Pub to make way for a large store - the site has frustratingly remained unoccupied.
