Following my last update on 14 June, I have continued to work constructively with colleagues, whatever their views, both in the Government and on the backbenches, to seek a departure from the EU that prioritises business, prosperity and jobs.
Now that the House of Commons is considering the Lords’ amendments to the EU (Withdrawal) Bill, I intend to post a series of detailed updates on my website to explain my rationale on particular votes as they arise, as I have endeavoured to do previously.
As someone who travels from Chislehurst to Westminster every day using our local rail services, I am only too aware how busy and unpleasant the commute can already be, and understand the sort of problems many of us regularly face simply trying to get from A to B.
