Michael Turner

Borough Councillor for Plaistow and Sundridge
Michael Turner has lived in Bromley for over 45 years and has served as both Mayor and Deputy Mayor of the Borough.

In the RAF for 8 years as a navigator, he then worked in local government until 1990. Following this he was a lecturer in adult, further and higher education. A partner in a small publishing firm, Michael has been a Councillor for Plaistow & Sundridge Ward since 2002.

Michael has served as Chairman of the Children & Young People Policy Development and Scrutiny Committee as well as being a member of the Strategy & Resources PDS and Environment PDS. He has also served on the General Purposes & Licensing Committee, the Development Control Committee and Planning Sub-Committees. He is a former Chairman of the management committee of the Pupil Referral Service. 

Michael is a Governor of Valley Primary School, a Trustee of the Bromley and Downham Youth Club and a former Governor of the Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.
