Gareth Bacon

GLA Member for Bromley and BexleyGareth Bacon was elected in 2008 as a Londonwide Assembly Member, and is the Mayor’s appointed Chairman of the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority which oversees the London Fire Brigade.  He is also Chairman of the London Local Resilience Forum which co-ordinates emergency planning in London.

Michael Turner

Borough Councillor for Plaistow and Sundridge
Michael Turner has lived in Bromley for over 45 years and has served as both Mayor and Deputy Mayor of the Borough.In the RAF for 8 years as a navigator, he then worked in local government until 1990. Following this he was a lecturer in adult, further and higher education. A partner in a small publishing firm, Michael has been a Councillor for Plaistow & Sundridge Ward since 2002.

Ellie Harmer

Ellie is married with one son and has lived in Plaistow & Sundridge for 30 years. Qualifying at Guys Hospital as a nurse, Ellie worked as a Nursing Officer before being posted to Indonesia with her husband. On her return she joined the Crown Prosecution Service as an Executive Office in the Youth Courts until joining Bromley College as a tutor.For 12 years Ellie worked a a volunteer for several hours weekly at Oxfam in Burnt Ash Lane.

Kate Lymer

Educated at Newstead Wood School in Orpington, Kate graduated from the University of York with a 2:1 degree in Politics & Philosophy and has worked locally in recruitment consultancy for over 10 years.

Catherine Rideout

Borough Councillor for Bickley
Catherine Rideout has lived in Bickley Ward since 1976 and has represented the Ward since 2002. A former Chairman and now Acting Chairman of the Sundridge Residents Association, Catherine has now served on the Committee for over 20 years and remains committed to defending Bickley from inappropriate development and infill building.

Colin has lived in Bromley since 1963. He has been married for over 30 years to a Health professional and has served on the Council since 2002.

Will Harmer

Will Harmer has lived in Bromley for over twenty years and has been an active campaigner around the local area for over ten years and currently lives in Bromley Town Ward.As a Councillor Will has played a pivotal part in shaping the future of the town centre, ensuring that residents' views are represented. As a member of the Executive & Resources Policy Development Committee has worked to shape the Council's technology policy.

Michael Rutherford

Michael Rutherford is a local resident and an experienced local campaigner. He was already working alongside Bromley Town’s local Conservative Councillors to tackle issues raised by residents before he was elected.Michael is a project manager for IT projects in the insurance industry. He is a keen swimmer and Sunderland AFC fan.In a time of change for Bromley Town, Michael is dedicated to ensuring that the town redevelopment works for residents, is not excessive and provides jobs for local people.

Nicky Dykes

Borough Councillor for Bromley Town
Nicky Dykes lives in Bromley Town and like many local residents commutes to work from either Bromley South or Shortlands. A graduate of Southampton University, Nicky works at Unilever in the communications team.In her spare time Nicky has helped with fundraising for various charities and in 2013 ran the London Marathon to raise money for Oxfam. She is a keen volunteer, having volunteered for a charity for disabled children, been involved with a local Brownie unit and has experience as a school governor.
